Having said that, I am still very pleased with the Git2 for bike ride recording, the quality is excellent, and the stabilisation is better than my previous Sony AS30V. It would be much easier if there were no gaps between segments, because I then join them all up first, then do the GPS overlay in one go.

I therefore have to overlay each segment seperately in order to keep it synchronised accurately, because the cumulative error is 20 seconds over the combined two hours. gpx data captured by my Garmin forerunner wristwatch. It makes it difficult to accurately overlay GPS data using "Dashware" software, with. There's a 2 to 3 second gap in recording between each segment, and I've got loop recording disabled as well.

I've started using it to record 2 hour long bike rides at 1080p 60fps, which gives me 20 minute 4gb files, so each ride is six or seven 4gb segments. I'm getting exactly the same problem with my Git2, with the original wide lens (and I'm running firmware v1.6). I'm getting the same problem as Wuwu, and there doesn't seem to have been any responses on here to it, other than asking him if loop recording was set off, (which he confirmed was).
